ELITE – Powerskating
Programs are open to all ages, with players grouped by age and skill level on the first day.
Any Programs in ELITE Level must be A-AAA for Level
The Elite Power Skating Program is designed for high-level A to AAA hockey players seeking to maximize skating efficiency, speed, and game-specific power. This program targets advanced skaters who already possess a strong technical foundation and are ready to refine elite-level movement patterns that translate directly to game performance.
Training emphasizes explosive first-step acceleration, top-end speed mechanics, edge control, and multi-directional mobility under pressure. Sessions incorporate high-tempo, game-realistic drills that challenge balance, posture, and body control while skating at full intensity. Players will be pushed physically and cognitively to execute proper mechanics at game pace.
Key technical components include:
- Acceleration and stride efficiency
- Lateral mobility, transitions, and deception
- Edge work and balance under contact and resistance
- Stop-start explosiveness and separation speed
- Proper posture, knee bend, and power transfer
This program is fast-paced, demanding, and detail-oriented. Instruction is tailored to advanced players and includes individualized feedback to correct inefficiencies and reinforce elite habits. The Elite Power Skating Program is ideal for players preparing for AAA tryouts, high-performance seasons, or those looking to gain a competitive edge at the highest levels of minor hockey.
